Lighthouse Shelter Quilt Campaign!

Spreading the Word! Kick-Off was September 21, 2009 at the Ground Breaking Ceremony and Reception at the Annapolis Towne Centre. Several quilts were on display drawing the attention of many well-wishers. The Bay Weekly's Simone Gorrindo did an incredible job of covering the event. Elisha Sauers at The Capital next wrote a wonderful article garnering great attention for the Quilt project and drawing many of you to our cause. In addition, flyers have been posted throughout the community and word of mouth advertising has added to the response. Please keep spreading the word. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of you for your hard work, incredible skills and loving hands!

Quilt Campaign Goal!

Gathering quilters from all corners of the community to come together as small groups, guilds, individuals, clubs, churches, businesses, schools, etc. to share their talents and their hearts, achieving a goal of 70 twin-size quilts to welcome all who enter the new LightHouse Shelter in 2010!

Mentor Group!

MENTOR GROUP! Talented quilter Cathy Astrom will be providing guidance in a small group atmosphere to individuals wishing to participate in this quilting venture. If you are a person with some/little/no quilting experience, but a desire to participate and work with a group, please email us at LightHouseQuilts@gmail.com for more information.

Ground Breaking Ceremony - Quilt Kick-Off

We had a lovely time meeting so many of you at the Ground Breaking Ceremony at the Annapolis Towne Center. We received several commitments for quilts that night. Pictured below are some of our team members.
